You may not be able to outrun the cops, but you can outglide them.

He grabbed a car's bumper and rode off. Reports are that he was temporarily stranded in the middle of a pond but other witnesses proclaim that false and state that he had power.

WTF why is a guy offering a random stranger a ride? Guy thought the guy was going to try to do something to him. Especially if you ask once and they decline that doesn’t mean try again. I wonder if he does that with the ladies too.

Yeah, the guy offering him a ride is who we should be worried about, not the guy who shot him twice and then fled the scene.

As an avid viewer of 'The First 48' I can say this happens surprisingly often. It's normally guys cruising looking to trade booze or drugs for fun times. And, yup, they often get shot and killed (hence ending up on the first 48).

Do you often offer strangers, in this case a strange man, rides? After they respectfully decline do you come back in 30 mins and ask again?

Exactly. Why are you offering a stranger a ride and when they decline you come back and ask again like a fuckin creep. Who knows how many people he’s harassed this way or made them feel uncomfortable. Did he deserve to get shot? Depends, looks like he was looking for something and found it. Had he A) Not offered the ride and B) Just went home after the guy declined he would’ve been A-OK.

Do you often shoot people for asking you questions that may or may not make you uncomfortable? Is that your go-to method for dealing with these situations? Just crank it up to 11 and shoot the fucker then flee from the scene of the attempted murder?

Lol you’re defending a creep not a good samaritan.

Did he put himself in that position, yes or no? He could’ve gone home but decided to return 30 mins later and try his luck again. Would you put yourself in that situation? Don’t be delusional, he would be fine had he not made these decisions. It wasn’t a wrong place wrong time scenario and he was some innocent bystander.

Moral of the story: Don’t offer strange men rides. That goes for men and women.

I wouldn't go so far as to question whether he should have been shot or not. He should not have been. However, reality is that if you go out and attempt to prey on folks who cannot or will not avail on the justice system to solve problems you're likely eventually going into one who brings some street justice. In short, he did not deserve to be shot but I'll waste no tears on his plight.

I don’t give a shit if he is a creep, you don’t shoot someone and then flee the scene of the crime because someone is acting creepy. If the perpetrator was so damn sure something was wrong with that man then they should have called the cops and stayed at the scene to give their report.

You’re literally defending a man who shot a stranger and then ran for no other reason than they were weird. If the guy got out of his car and began threatening the other man he could have had a valid defense.

But then again, we don’t know that do we? Because the shooter ran.

Not defending the shooter all I’m saying is unless you’re an Uber driver don’t go around trying to pick up strangers or convince them to get into your car. The reality is folks get themselves in all kinds of bad situations that can easily have been avoided had they exercised common sense.
